The day itself
Below is everything you’ll need to plan your day around ours — from the scenic shuttle ride up the mountain to the last song beneath the stars at the Alpine Gardens Lodge & Terrace.

The hours of a single day, lifted into the mountains for one promise
Join us inside the historic glass chapel as Vivienne and Nathaniel exchange vows surrounded by polished timber, mountain slate, and sweeping views of The Sentinel.
After the ceremony, guests will follow the slate pathway to the Alpine Gardens Lodge and Terrace for cocktails, dinner, dancing, and an evening framed by lake reflections and mountain air.
A day in five moments
Shuttle Departure from Basecamp Lodge Hotel
Chartered shuttles depart for the mountain. Please board on time so everyone can enjoy the scenic 30-minute ascent together.
Guest Arrival & Seating
Valet guests arrive, shuttle guests step onto the promontory, and everyone settles into the glass chapel before the ceremony begins.
Ceremony in the Glass Chapel
Vivienne and Nathaniel exchange vows inside the century-old chapel, framed by floor-to-ceiling glass, hand-carved mahogany pews, and the Sentinel mountain spire.
Slate Pathway Walk to the Lodge
Guests follow the natural slate path from the chapel to the Alpine Gardens Lodge & Terrace for the evening celebration.
Cocktail Hour on the Terrace
Fire pits are lit, drinks are served, and the alpenglow begins to settle over the mirror lake and surrounding peaks.
Dinner Inside the Alpine Gardens Lodge
Dinner is served at polished local granite tables with cream linens, elegant crystal, and alpine wildflower centerpieces.
Dancing Beneath the Stars
The evening moves to the terrace dance floor beneath warm Edison lights, the timber pergola, and the open mountain sky.
The sky did not make the promise bigger. It only gave it room to be seen
Mountain formal
Please dress for an elegant mountain celebration. The chapel and lodge are climate-controlled, but cocktail hour and dancing will take place outdoors on the terrace. Bring a warm shawl, jacket, or wrap for the evening. Because the pathways are natural slate, block heels, wedges, or dress flats are strongly recommended over stilettos. Elegant layers will be your friend after sunset.
Built in 1926 by architect and mountaineer Elias Thorne, The Starlight Vista Chapel was designed around the belief that nature itself could be the cathedral. Ancient fallen timbers form the chapel’s frame, floor-to-ceiling glass opens every view to the mountains, and the original hand-carved mahogany pews still line the slate aisle. A century later, the chapel remains a rare union of alpine history, precise craftsmanship, and quiet grandeur.

Parking and arrival
Complimentary valet parking is required for guests who drive. Self-parking is not available so the venue can preserve the mountain views and guest arrival flow.
